First time I heard them was in the mid 80's. Motley Crue were guest DJ's on the local metal station and they played a bunch of LA bands I hadn't heard of before. The Gun Club was one of them.

yeah...I heard them on college radio around the same time, & found the record for probably $5 so I gave it a try, & I love it, even though I never really followed them or knew a thing about them, but I remember when Jeffrey Lee Pierce died.
