Michigan-Shaped Spot May Save Steer
SPAULDING TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - One steer's unique hide may save it from someone's dinner table. The animal is named Michigan, and for a good reason - the brown spot on its side resembles the state's mitten shape. The pattern on its other side is shaped like a "U."
It's one of 30 cattle on Jacob and Georgia Kessler's family-run farm in Spaulding Township, about 80 miles northwest of Detroit.
Cattle from the farm are eventually sold for beef. But the owners are willing to sell the steer for promotional or mascot use instead of shipping it to the slaughterhouse.

Good mornings peepsies!
For no reason I bought a sweater that has the Norwegian flag knit into the sleeve. It's made in Mauritius (which, as we all know, is a small island a few hundred miles east of Madagascar) by a company called Napapijri, which to me sounds Indian and I am not looking it up. It's made of "Merinos" or Merino wool which I love because it's lightweight yet dense and warm. It was expensive though, I don't know why I bought it, other than purchases = love. I also used my Neutrogena Norwegian Formula hand cream earlier, which of course is the bomb.
But all the music today will be Swedish. And Sorry Finland and Denmark, I got nothing for you. or from you. Wait--I found a couple Danish bands, but only was able to procure one download (some of the older links I'm trying to DL from are no longer available) and I found a Finnish artist but no dice on that download. I tried. I found one Norwegian band as well, not to leave them out of the music scene.
Okay, I was going to leave out stuff people may know or other Voxers have posted (Jose Gonzales, Jens Lekman, El Perros del Mar) but what the hej, I'll just post everything Swedish I can find on my computer. Okay? If it's not okay, tough noogies. here goes:
OKAY VOX your formatting really SUCKS---why won't you show the pictures when I post them together in a horizontal twin strip and now I can't post them individually? GEEZ! get it together!
And finally, our only Danish band:
And our lone Norwegian dowload, (not to be confused with 'fou de fa-fa!'):
I haven't actually listened to all these songs so if any of it sucks, don't judge me.
I have never encountered such courteous drivers anywhere else in the world as I found in Sweden-- if you, as a pedestrian, even look like you are considering crossing the street, they slow down like 20 yards away and wave you across. Thanks!
So maybe if everyone played Swedish music in their car, their kindness & courtesy would rub off on us. Just a thought. I had my Komeda CD playing in the car this morning, and I think I cursed 35% less than usual.
